Cant wait just bought 3 for one and think they will make awesome Christmas present to the other messed up people in my life also.

    • Sharla Dawn

Thank you so much, Cheryl! Yes, great Christmas gifts. I’ll be doing another big promotion in November for the holidays.

  2. Cecilia Hines

So excited! I know these will make great Christmas gifts and planned to get them signed by soon-to-be-famous Sharla.

Ha. “Fortune and Fame’s such a curious game…” to quote the man (James Taylor). I don’t expect (or desire) much of either. But the love and support of friends like you make me happy beyond happy. Thank you Celceila.

  3. Betty Bobay

Woo Hoo! I am so excited that my favorite author since middle school is finally getting the recognition and wider reading audience she deserves! Hugs and love, your friend since 5th grade with Ms. Peavey! Wow…where have the years gone? Love you! Betty

    • Sharla Dawn

Betty, you were actually the first–the very first friend to encourage me to keep writing. From my very first poem in grade school, “Charles, My Tree,” to those sappy middle school love/angst poems like “Ego Ache” you’ve been right there cheering me on with sincerity and enthusiasm. I love you for that, and for so many other reasons. You are the definition of true friend. Thank you.

Can’t wait to read it! Just bought mine!! Love you Shar!!!!

    • Sharla Dawn

Yay! I’ll see you this weekend. So excited for you, Holly!

  5. Laura Baker

Having read bits and pieces I know this will make me laugh, cry and think deeply in a matter of a few pages
. I can’t wait to read the whole thing!!!

    • Sharla Dawn

Thanks so much, Laura. I really enjoy (and learn from) your insights too. I admire the way you are with your kids–great parenting with a sense of humor. You’ll especially enjoy the story–Triceratops and Tissues, in the book.

  6. Caroline Stinson

You are such a special person to share your life experiences with us! Looking forward to the book signing.

  7. Beverly Vaughn

I was honored to be able to do an “early read” of this book. I simply could not put it down and, when I finally did actually turn the last page, my husband found me in tears. My solace; however, comes from knowing the stories won’t really end but will continue through Sharla’s blog and emails. It truly is a memorable read and will make a fabulous gift for yourself and others. I can’t wait to get my autographed copy!

    • Sharla Dawn

For you, Beverly, I’d autograph every page. Thank you for your kind words.

  8. Shelley Brunson

Hey Mate , Gd’day from Down under! Your messed-upness will be spread in the OUTBACK, can’t wait….

    • Sharla Dawn

Books are on their way Downunder! Ha, I’ve sold books both in Australia and Austria! How cool is that? Thanks Shelley!

  9. Phil

I messed up big time, regret and apologies, wish I could get my friend back, Friend always. would like to read what went on in your thoughts in your Book, congrat’s x

    • Sharla Dawn

Ha, even I can’t hold a grudge for 35 years. How young I was. And afraid. And even then, of course–“A little messed up.” I long ago forgave myself, and you.

  10. Emily Brenner

Just ordered it, I read the first few pages and I know I am going to love it! Spending mornings at your house reading is something I cherish even to this day 🙂 I spend much of my free time with my books! We miss you here at the Brenner household. Hope to see ya sometime soon!

    • Sharla Dawn

Oh, Emily! So happy to hear from you! Your book is in the mail. I hope you enjoy it. Love you!

  11. CC Milford

This is by far the best book I’ve read in a long time! I brought your book with me on my trip to Sweden past November and was reading it on the train from Sweden to Denmark. I didn’t realize it, but I was laughing so hard I was crying, and completely unbeknownst to me, I was the entertainment for the rest of the cabin for quite a while. Love the book, and what a relief it was to realize that my weird quirks apparently are not so crazy after all!
